“Peter is a biologist who since retirement in 2010 has been able to devote more time to his twin pleasures of seeking out wildlife and its photography. He has enjoyed national recognition for some of his images in the British Wildlife Photography Awards and the newly established close-up photographer of the year. Close-up photography is a real passion because, like a microscope, it can reveal details of subjects otherwise invisible.”
